According to SMM statistics, China's domestic lithium hydroxide production maintained its growth trend in October, with a month-on-month increase of 6%.
On the smelting side, due to relatively significant growth in demand for ternary materials this month, orders from ternary material manufacturers increased, and smelters continued their production-on-demand rhythm, leading to a slight rise in output. In addition, new production lines at some major smelters were successively put into operation and gradually ramped up, contributing to the overall supply increase. As a result, smelting output increased by 7% month-on-month. On the causticization side, most operating enterprises maintained their previous production schedules, keeping output stable compared to the previous month.
Looking ahead to November: individual new smelting production lines will continue to ramp up gradually, while causticization production plans remain largely unchanged. Overall lithium hydroxide output in November is expected to see a slight increase, with figures largely flat year-on-year.
